ZIM Aircraft Seating Group Completes ART Sale to AAR CORP: Divestiture sharpens strategic focus on core aircraft seating business

Greensboro, NC / Immenstaad, Germany, 27. April 2026 – ZIM Aircraft Seating Group (“ZIM”), a global leader in Premium Economy seating solutions, today announced the successful completion of the sale of its Aircraft Reconfiguration Technologies(ART) business to NYSE-listed AAR CORP. This closing follows the signing of a definitive agreement on December 17, 2025.

The divestiture is a key milestone in ZIM’s strategyto focus exclusively on its core seating business — Premium Economy, BusinessClass, and Economy Class — and to accelerate growth across its highlyengineered seating platforms.

ZIM acquires HAECO Cabin Solutions and becomes a global seat manufacturer

Immenstaad, October 5, 2023 – ZIM Aircraft Seating GmbH has acquired HAECO Cabin Solutions from the HAECO Group. The combination creates the world's fourth-largest aircraft seat manufacturer in the Economy and Premium Economy segment. The combined group will operate as ZIM Aircraft Seating Group. The majority owner since February 2020 is the AURELIUS Group.
