As Head of Design for ZIM Aircraft Seating, Hermann Hoffmann will be responsible for defining the design strategy and overseeing the development of aircraft seating solutions from concept through to implementation.

The seat is part of the new cabin concept with seven seating and sleeping options that the airline plans to introduce on its Boeing 787-9 “Dreamliner” fleet from 2024. The seat is configured at a 41-inch pitch.

Engineering, administration and production are now located exclusively on Lake Constance: manufacturing is based in Markdorf, administration and engineering in Immenstaad. Immenstaad, February 15, 2022 – SWISS is the first Lufthansa Group airline to operate the newly developed ZP610 from ZIM Aircraft Seating GmbH in scheduled service. The basis is the 2020 order, which covered both the Boeing 777-300ER and the Airbus A340-300 of SWISS. The first SWISS aircraft fitted with the ZP610 was an Airbus A340.
Immenstaad, January 17, 2022 – Lufthansa Group has selected the ZP610 from ZIM Aircraft Seating GmbH for its Premium Economy. The order covers 19 Lufthansa Boeing 747-8s and nine SWISS Airbus A330s, making it one of the largest single orders in the company's history.
