ZIM Aircraft Seating expands its headquarters in Immenstaad — the existing area is tripled

Immenstaad, December 23, 2021

ZIM Aircraft Seating today announced the expansion of its headquarters in Immenstaad on Lake Constance. Additional office space will be occupied as early as January 1, 2022. A new model building with a design department for the market-oriented development of future products will be opened by April 2022. In addition, the headquarters will be expanded to include an automated test center and a new customer service area with modern repair and maintenance facilities.

Immediately after the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, the ZIM management decided to realign the corporate structure in order to be able to better serve future orders and increase the efficiency of the company's processes. The new headquarters in Immenstaad was only opened in March 2021. With the upcoming expansion, ZIM is tripling its activities at the Immenstaad site.

Despite continued weakness in the aviation industry, ZIM was able to win a large number of new orders in recent months. In addition, ZIM expects an increasing demand for repair measures and maintenance work on aircraft seats of existing aircraft, which will be put back into operation after prolonged downtime due to airline capacity reductions or have been repurposed to transport cargo during the Covid-19 pandemic, which has led to increased wear and tear of passenger seats.

“The investment in our site expansion is a clear commitment to our employees and the region,” emphasizes ZIM managing director Sven Achilles. “We have a time-independent social responsibility, which we also live up to by creating structures that make us competitive for the future.”

Both the location and the size and equipment of the new offices have a positive impact on efficiency, productivity and corporate identity that should not be underestimated. The attractive office concept with short distances strengthens teamwork, which usually requires direct coordination with all parties involved, and at the same time promotes communication between the various business areas.
